Travis Eades

Travis Eades is the Lead Minister of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, TX, where he teaches and leads a gifted disciple-making team of elders, staff, and volunteers. He is a visionary leader with a passion to see a community of disciples courageously engaging culture with the hope of Jesus where they live, work, learn, and play. He holds a B. A. and a M. Min. from Harding University. Travis and his wife, Alisha, have four children.

Max Lucado


Max Lucado

Teaching Minister Max Lucado has preached at Oak Hills Church since 1988. Before coming to San Antonio, Max and his wife, Denalyn, served as missionaries in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for five years. They have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. Max’s books, devotional guides, and other published works extend his ministry to believers around the world. His papers are archived in the Max Lucado Collection at Abilene Christian University.

Greg Oefinger


Greg Oefinger

Greg Oefinger is the Executive Minister of Oak Hills Church, where he leads, empowers, and serves staff and volunteers in the implementation of the OHC mission and vision. He is a developer of leaders who is passionate about making disciples who guide all people to follow Jesus. Greg holds a BBA and MBA from Baylor University and a Master’s in Spiritual Formation from Biola University. Greg and his wife, Jibs, are the parents of two adult sons.

Jesse Maldonado


Jesse Maldonado

Jesse Maldonado is the OHC Director of Operations. He is a passionate leader with three decades of experience in project, personnel, and operations management. He holds a BBA from LeTourneau University and 20 years of ministerial experience. Commissioned as a Minister in 2006, Jesse intertwines business acumen with spiritual shepherding. His teams model excellence in operational support allowing ministries to operate in their God-given talents. Jesse and his wife Sandra are blessed with three adult children, a cherished daughter-in-law, a beloved son-in-law, and one grandchild.

Matt Moore


Matt Moore

Matt Moore is the OHC Adult Discipleship Minister. Matt enjoys serving alongside a capable team of staff and volunteer leaders on the mission of making disciples who make disciples. He is passionate about helping people grow as followers of Jesus by helping them connect in intentional relationships and engage with God’s Word. Matt holds a BA in Communications from Texas State, and a Master’s in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Matt and his wife, Sarah, are living the exciting adventure of raising and homeschooling their five sons.

Renee Navarro


Renee Navarro

Renee Navarro is the OHC Human Resources Director. She enjoys supporting our staff by promoting employee well-being, empowerment, growth, and retention. She leads the HR team to provide services to our staff in a caring and professional manner so they can concentrate making disciples and sharing the hope of Jesus. Renee has a BA with a concentration in Human Resources from the University of Texas at San Antonio (go Roadrunners!) and has worked in Human Resources for nearly thirty years. Renee and her husband, Carlos, are the parents of a young adult son and two teenage daughters.

Mike Oakes

Mike Oakes is the OHC Outreach Minister. Mike leads a team who coordinate local and global outreach where personal and spiritual needs are met by mobilizing volunteers to share the hope of Jesus to a hurting world. He is passionate about guiding disciples to discover their Kingdom calling and seeing the church mobilized to bring hope, healing, and transformation to our local community and around the world. Mike holds a BA in Economics from Baylor University and a Master’s in International Management from Thunderbird. Mike and his wife, Liliana, have three teenage children.

Gerry True

Gerry True is the OHC Communication Minister. He enjoys sharing the hope of Jesus through strategic and compelling communication. He is passionate about encouraging staff and volunteers to use their God-given abilities to create for God's glory and share engaging stories of life transformation. Gerry holds a BA in Pastoral Ministries and Theology from Baptist Bible College and a Master's in Theology from Liberty University. He is currently furthering his study of Spiritual Formation and Philosophy at Talbot School of Theology. Gerry and his wife, Karen, are parents of an adult daughter and son.

Claudia Lay is the OHC Operations Director. She leads a skilled team in supporting the ministries of Oak Hills Church by overseeing Risk Management, Maintenance, Facilities, Security, Events, Host Ministry, and the church's Main Office. Claudia enjoys empowering staff and volunteers as they utilize their spiritual giftings and skills to bless our body and all those we serve. Prior to joining the OHC team, Claudia served in various capacities in Hospitality and Business Management. Claudia and her husband, Jason, are the parents of two children.
