Serve

At Oak Hills Church, the gospel compels us to live courageously and love authentically as we follow Jesus moment by moment. We are disciples who make disciples, sharing the hope of Jesus to a hurting world. As followers of Jesus, we are committed to nurturing our love for God and others. We invite you to express love for others daily through serving. Are you ready to find a place of service? Consider one of the options listed below.
Our Care Ministry Teams walk with people to grow in specialized situations or times of need. We do this through opportunities like Baptism Ministry, Prayer Ministry, helping facilitate a Care Community (groups/classes for gaining a better relationship with finances, walking through life’s difficulties, grief, etc.), Marriage/Pre-Marital Ministry to develop and shepherd healthy marriages, Memorial/Funeral Team and Care Facilitators who make visits to people in care homes, hospitals, etc.

Our Children’s Team shares the simple truths of God’s great love in a fun and creative way. There are multiple options where you can use your gifts and heart to serve the next generation!

Our College and Young Adults team supports college students in the development of their personal relationship with Christ as well as their biblical community with one another.

Our Family Mentoring Ministry (FMM) is an outreach to struggling families in our community who are committed to improving their lives. OHC Family Mentors are matched with local families and walk alongside them in this journey of restoration, in partnership with Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries. Start the journey by taking our Helping Without Hurting class offered each semester.

The purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to utilize gifts of those in the church body who wish to equip others to experience quality fellowship meals in our neighborhoods and families and serve meals to those who minister at the campus. Volunteers help by shopping, do food preparation, serving meals, washing dishes, and cleaning up.

Have you had a great experience at Oak Hills Church and want to help others have the same? From the street to their seat, the Host Team serves people with a smile, a warm welcome, and a hearty desire to help them find their place at OHC.

Would you like to be part of a group of men who are committed to building better dads, husbands and sons? Our Men's Team serves men through Bible studies, special events and service projects.

Are you gifted with vocal ability or skilled as a musician? Our Music Team exists to enable all worshipers to have a heart-changing encounter with God the Father, in the presence of Jesus the Son, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Production Team inspires and encourages connections to God through the creative use of technology. The team supports Oak Hills Church services and events with audio and visual technology. We operate computers, audio consoles, lighting consoles, video cameras, and other technology to support services and events. Training is provided, and all are welcome.

Are you an active or retired licensed security officer, law enforcement agent or military personnel ready to use your gifts to actively pursue a safe environment for every attendee? Our Safety Team assists at all Oak Hills Church events and supports the security staff and First Aid Ministry.

Our Student volunteers support middle and high school students in their journey to develop a personal relationship with Christ. Teams partner with parents to disciple and equip students to actively live out their faith as we make disciples who make disciples.

Are you interested in connecting with other women at OHC? Our Women's Ministry Team gives their time and talents to help women grow in relationship with Christ. They serve, lead, and support others through prayer groups, Bible study, mentoring, and service projects. Team members also serve during special events in the areas of administration, audio/visual, host, hospitality, and creative arts.
